90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper
I really appreciated this book, but not for the reasons I thought I would. I bought it because from the title I believed it would contain an extensive description of heaven. Indeed on chapter was on this topic, describing the many colors and sounds that were more vivid and real than anything experienced on this planet. Heaven did sound wonderful.
But the greater part of the book is about this pastor's struggles to grow from his experience will death and injury - to allow members of his congregation to minister to him, to deal with pain, and to eventually share his very intimate experience where he tasted the afterlife.
The testimony of this man's experience in heaven is a worthwhile read, but his growth due to the struggles his accident brought him was even better.
